From Ksamil to Koman/ 20 jet skis, 7 speedboats, dinghies and metal boats are

During this week, from Ksamil to Koman, the Border Police and the Marine Police Unit have blocked 32 vessels.

Blocked vehicles include: 20 jet skis, 7 speedboats, 3 dinghies and 2 metal boats that had water motors installed.

19 vessels have been blocked from Ksamil to Vlora. 9 vessels are blocked from Durrës to Shengjin. 2 vessels are blocked in Velipoja. 2 metal boats are blocked in Lake Koman due to lack of documentation and safety conditions.

12 of the blocked vessels were found by the services of the Border Police and those of the Maritime Police Unit to be sailing within the security perimeter, a violation which endangered the lives of vacationers. The drivers of these vehicles were each punished with an administrative measure of 100,000 ALL.

The drivers of 8 other vessels, in addition to the measure of blocking the means, were each punished with an administrative measure of 100 00 new lek each for not having a tourist operator's license.

The drivers of 10 other vessels, in addition to the measure of blocking the means, were each punished with an administrative measure of 10,000 ALL for lack of documentation.

The drivers of 2 other floating vehicles (metal boats), in addition to the measure of blocking the vehicles, were each punished with an administrative measure of 20,000 lek for lack of documentation and security measures.

Meanwhile, the Maritime Police Unit and the Border Police throughout this week have come to the aid of tourists and visitors in 16 cases who have requested assistance in the maritime space from Ksamil to Koman.

The Border Police appeals to all users of watercraft to strictly follow the rules for the use of watercraft, to be equipped with lifesaving equipment, and to respect the areas designated for navigation with these tools, in order that they and vacationers others to be safe and calm.

At the same time, the Border Police invites vacationers to report any violation of the maritime security perimeter, or of security measures during tourist trips in coastal, lake and river areas, guaranteeing an immediate response./ CNA
