Assassination in Berat/ The testimony of the target is clarified: I suspect revenge for the murder I committed in '97

On Monday afternoon, in the village of Dushnik in Berat, shots were fired at a moving vehicle.

A group of people had organized an assassination attempt on Altin Halili, who according to the police is a person with criminal records.

In his testimony given to the police, Altin Halili states that he suspects that the assassination was done in revenge for the murder he committed in 1997. 

"I suspect revenge for the murder I committed in 1997, I have no other conflict. I saw that I was ambushed by a car, there were masked people inside", he is said to have said. 

Halili killed Sokol Kaloshi in the village of Rremas in Lushnje. For this, he served a 15-year prison sentence, from which he was released in 2010./CNA
