The Prosecutor's Office of Kukës has requested the suspension of a police officer, who is suspected of favoring various persons by not fining or checking them.

It is about the officer with the initials KK, accused of the Criminal Offense 'Abuse of Duty', provided for by Article 248 of the Criminal Code.

From environmental observations and telephone interceptions, reasonable suspicion has been created that the KK police officer, using and benefiting from his position as urban and interurban traffic service body, DVP - Kukës, favored people he knew in order not to be fined or pass without being checked by the police.

At the request of the Prosecutor's Office, the Court decided to suspend him from office, while the investigations also continue for other road traffic employees./ CNA
