Boys under investigation for drug trafficking in England/ The prosecution

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Tirana confiscated the assets owned by the citizens of the RD and Gj.D. within the framework of law no. 10192 "On preventing and combating organized crime, trafficking, corruption and other crimes through measures against wealth".

From the financial analysis, it turned out that the citizens subject to the property investigation did not have the opportunity to save from legal income that served as a source of creation for making investments in the purchase of real estate. The court accepted the request of the prosecution and with the decision dated 13.03.2024 decided the confiscation of the following properties:

- Apartment, with an area of ??103.20 m2, on Aleksander Moisiu Street, Tirana;

- Apartment with an area of ??100 m2 in Aleksandër Moisiu Street, Tirana;

- Garage with an area of ??17.20 m2 on Aleksandër Moisiu Street, Tirana; AND

- Garage, with an area of ??17.40 m2, on Aleksandër Moisiu Street, Tirana.

The above assets were confiscated and passed into the ownership of the state, as the investigation showed that their sons, citizens VD and SD, were involved in the criminal activity of narcotics trafficking in cooperation.

The assets above were created after and during the period of criminal activity and their value does not clearly correspond to the level of income, profits or legal activities, declared, nor justified by them. 

The two boys are suspected of the criminal offense "Trafficking of narcotics" in cooperation, provided for by article 283/ai of the Criminal Code, committed abroad (England)./ CNA
