The warning of the Russian ambassador / "High risk of a collision between Russia and the USA"

Russia's ambassador to the US, Anatoly Antonov, has said that the risk of a clash between the US and Russia is "high".

Antonov has spoken to the media and compared the state of US-Russia relations to an "ice age" and that it was difficult to say when talks between the two sides might resume.

"Strictly speaking, today it is difficult to say when this dialogue can resume - a dialogue on strategic stability. We did not raise it, we did not declare a proxy war against the USA, we did not throw the entire military-industrial machinery of NATO on Ukrainian territory to fight the Russian Federation", he said.

The Kremlin yesterday accused the US of waging war against Russia after Washington increased military support for Ukraine and hosted President Volodymyr Zelenskiy at the White House.

As part of the US support package, Ukrainian troops will learn how to use Patriot surface-to-air missile battery systems in Germany and it will be several months before they deploy it on the battlefield./ CNA. al
