Kurti: The Republic of Kosovo will be defended with strength and determination

The prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has responded to the request of the Serbian president, Aleksandar Vu?i?, for the deployment of members of the Serbian army and police in the territory of Kosovo, saying that Kosovo "will be defended, with strength and determination".

Vucic warned on Saturday that the Serbian authorities will make a request to the NATO mission in Kosovo, KFOR, that in accordance with Resolution 1244, ensure the deployment of members of the Serbian army and police in the territory of Kosovo.

Kurti called these statements of Vucic threats of military aggression.

"The president and the prime minister of Serbia have also threatened military aggression, demanding that the Serbian army return to our territory. We do not seek conflict, but dialogue and peace. But let me be clear: the Republic of Kosovo will be defended - with strength and determination", writes Kurti on Twitter.
