Macedonian police have arrested two people suspected of extortion.

The local media write that together with them, a policeman with the initials MR, stationed at the Police Station of Kisella Voda, was arrested, a former part of the security team of a former prime minister.

Sources from the investigative group say that it is about extortion against the businessman with the initials AK, while the motive of the extortion is a debt from 2004 worth 63,500 euros.

In 2019, 440,000 euros were demanded from the businessman through death threats, while until June 30, 2022, the two suspects, through a third person who later turned out to be a policeman, demanded 560,000 euros. /ET-CNA.al
