Murder of the officer in Maliq/ Metropolis of Korça: Deep pain, prayers

The Metropolitanate of Korça has shared a message of condolence for the loss of life in the line of duty of police officer Enea Mekolli.

In the message, the Metropolitanate emphasizes that in these moments of pain, we should not forget not only those affected by this tragedy, but also those who serve with dedication for the common good.

Prayers are also shared for the soul of the deceased and the speedy recovery of the injured officer, Edison Adri.

"The Holy Metropolis of Korça expresses its deep sorrow for the tragic event that occurred today in Maliq, during which the State Police officer, Enea Mekolli, lost his life in the line of duty, while another officer was injured.

We pray that the God of life and comfort may rest the soul of the deceased in the abodes of the righteous and grant strength and comfort to his family, relatives, and colleagues, who are experiencing this grave loss.

At the same time, we pray for the speedy and complete recovery of the injured officer, Edison Adri, that God may heal, strengthen, and return him to his family and service as soon as possible.

The sacrifice of those who risk and give their lives for the safety and protection of our society deserves deep respect and gratitude.
