Atletico and Barça sign the agreement for the French striker

Atlético de Madrid and Barcelona have already reached an agreement for the final transfer of Antoine Griezmann to "Los Colconeros". Although the formalization is expected to happen next week, it has been agreed with the parties (Barça, Atletico and the player himself), that the Madrid club will pay 20 million euros plus four in the form of bonuses. The agreement also foresees a significant reduction in the footballer's salary.

In the loan contract of Griezmann, in the summer of last year, it was foreseen that after two seasons, Atletico would buy him for 40 million euros if the attacker played more than 45 minutes in 50% of the matches. The red and white club, which would not meet this condition, was activating him with a dropper at the beginning of the season.

Barca initially explored the possibility of taking legal action against Atletico, but ultimately agreed to settle the matter by consensus for a sum that was almost half of what was stipulated in the initial agreement between the clubs.
