After turning on the lights in the municipalities of the southeastern region, the Municipality of Maliqi also carried out this activity, lighting up the entire city center and other areas through the festive decor.

This Saturday afternoon, Maliqi was illuminated amid the fantastic atmosphere created by the little children dressed as Santa Claus, where together with the mayor Gëzim Topçiu they did the symbolic countdown until the lights were turned on in the square in front of the Maliqi Town Hall.

In his speech, the mayor Maliq said that this year, the decoration was made differently from other years. Among other things, he wished the year-end holidays, saying that the children's participation in this activity gave him another emotion and satisfaction.

"This year is a novelty as we have changed most of the lighting of all the new year decorations. The participation of children but also of citizens in mass, shows that this month of holidays will end with the 31st day to welcome the new year , so we also wish the citizens "Happy, a good year and thank you very much for this great participation, especially of our children, our little ones", said Topçiu.

The municipality of Maliqi took care of the details so that the city gets the most beautiful appearance in this festive month, while there will also be other cultural activities that will take place throughout the month of December./ CNA
