The Pogradec police reacted to the accusations that the police tried to hide the incident that happened the day before in Pogradec, where a 42-year-old man was killed.

The police clarify that at no time and under no circumstances did any police officer of the Pogradec Police Station attempt to manipulate or cover up the incident.

In response, it is clarified that the incident was evaluated to the maximum extent by the Structures of DVP Korçë and those of the Pogradec Police Station immediately went to the scene of the incident, the investigative team was set up, the local cameras were seized, several people who were present at the time of the incident were accompanied. the event and all the first actions were carried out at the scene in order to clarify and document it

"Based on some news published on social networks regarding the event that happened yesterday afternoon in Pogradec, where as a result of a conflict a 42-year-old man lost his life, and for this reason it is alluded that there was an attempt to hide the event by the Head of the Police Station Pogradec Police, we clarify the public opinion that:

At no time and under no circumstances did any police officer of the Pogradec Police Station attempt to manipulate or cover up the event.

The event was evaluated to the maximum by the structures of DVP Korçë and those of the Pogradec Police Station immediately went to the scene of the event, the investigative group was set up, the local cameras were seized, several people who were present at the time of the event were accompanied and committed all the first actions at the place of the event in order to clarify and document it.

As a result of the professional actions carried out by the investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, it became possible to elucidate and document the event, identify, capture and arrest the author and three other citizens for not reporting a crime, and the procedural materials have been forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office for action further.

At the end of the first investigative actions that resulted in the discovery of the incident and the arrest of the suspected perpetrator, the Korçë Local Police Directorate has issued an official announcement with the official version.
