Properties worth 35 million euros in Himare are seized

The Prosecutor's Office of Vlora has seized 247,000 m2 of property in Himara worth 35 million euros.

The 30 assets were registered in the name of citizens JJ and KJ under investigation for the criminal offenses 'Forgery of documents' committed more than once and 'Cleaning of proceeds of criminal offense or criminal activity'.

The prosecution established during the investigations that the properties, in total 247,000 square meters in Himare, with a value of around 35 million euros, were benefited by the above persons through forged documents.

During the investigations, the Prosecutor's Office managed to prove that the main document that served for the registration and acquisition of these properties in the Court of Appeal of Vlorë, was forged.

Consequently, at the request of the prosecution, the court ordered the preventive seizure of 30 properties in Cadastral Area 1592 in Himare./ CNA
