She did not declare her wealth/ Minister Rozeta Hajdari is sentenced

The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, has been sentenced to a fine of 700 euros by the Basic Court in Pristina due to the failure to declare assets for 2020 within the legal deadline, the court announced through a notice.

"The accused RH [Rozeta Hajdari] has been found guilty and has been sentenced to a fine of 700 euros, which sentence will be executed within 15 days from the day when this Judgment becomes final", the announcement states.

According to the court, Hajdari, in the capacity of a senior public official, as the Minister of Economy, Employment, Trade, Industry, Entrepreneurship and Strategic Investments in the Government of Kosovo, being aware of her legal obligation, did not declare the assets as it is required by the Law on the declaration, origin and control of the wealth of high public officials.

Hajdari had previously pleaded guilty before the court, saying that confusion had been created after the deadline for declaring the assets of public officials had been postponed.

On October 14 of this year, the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Prishtina filed an indictment against Minister Hajdari for the criminal offense "Non-reporting or false reporting of assets, income, gifts, other material benefit or financial obligations"./ REL
