Fire situation in the country/ 12 fires this Wednesday, 2 active and 4 under

According to the National Civil Emergency Operations Center (QKOEC) at AKMC, 12 fires were reported this Wednesday, of which 6 have been extinguished, 2 are active, and 4 are under monitoring.

Isolated and completely extinguished fires:

1. Neighborhood number 1, Rrogozhina.

2. Ahmataj village, Old Tropoja administrative unit, Tropoja municipality.

3. Llugaj village, Llugaj administrative unit, Tropoja municipality.

4. Sohodoll village, Kastriot administrative unit, Dibër municipality.

5. Neighborhood number 3, Vlora.

6. Durisht village, Petrelë administrative unit, Tirana municipality.

Currently, the following hotbeds are active:

1. In the village of Xeth, Blerim administrative unit, in the municipality of Fushë - Arrëz, the situation is calm and the fire source is almost completely isolated. In some parts there are still small reactivations within the perimeter, but they are being kept under control and eliminated by forest service employees.

2. In the villages of Damjan, Fortuzaj and Isufaj in the municipality of Tirana, the fire has been minimized and is being monitored until it is finally extinguished. 5 officers with 1 fire engine from the Tirana Municipal Fire Department, 4 police forces and 3 municipal forces have been deployed on the ground.

3. A new fire was reported near the Krraba tunnel in the municipality of Tirana in the afternoon. The Local Fire Service has arrived at the scene, and is working to isolate the flames.

4. Work continues to extinguish the fire in the Gërmenj Natural Park, Leskovik administrative unit, which broke out on 11.08.2025. Municipal forces are working on the ground to avoid reactivation of the fire. Today, the situation seems calm and operational forces are monitoring the terrain.

5. The fire that broke out on 19.08.2025, at 17:05, near the Cement Factory, Fushë-Krujë administrative unit, continues to be active, where 5 fire sources in total were isolated, while the fire continued with low intensity. The density of the forest made intervention difficult, but the operational forces managed to extinguish the fire, which is now being monitored by Krujë firefighters.

6. The fire that broke out on 19.08.2025 in a bushy area in the village of Lapardha, Kotë administrative unit, has been reactivated. The Selenica Fire Service has gone to the scene. Despite the work of the operational forces, the fire continues to remain active. /CNA
