Prime Minister Edi Rama, after prosecutor Gjeli and judge Balliu, has not spared judge Klarent Demiri either.

Rama says that with two decisions, the judge has prevented the execution to free public spaces.

The government's number one warned that there will be no tolerance for any representative of the independent judiciary who misuses their independence to undermine the independence of the executive branch, obstructing the implementation of programs, projects or decisions in the public interest through arbitrary abuse of their office.

He announced that they will also address the independent bodies of governance and control of the judiciary regarding Judge Demir, just like they did regarding Prosecutor Gjeli and Judge Balliu.

"What must Judge Klarent Demiri have been eating when he made the decision to prevent the execution of the decision to liberate this "land of the khan"?"

And he has made not one, but two such decisions, standing out as the only judge so far who has openly contradicted the public interest, the interest of communities in freeing up their public spaces and implementing the government's program for the benefit of cities and in the function of Albania 2030 in the EU.

One thing is for sure:

We will no longer tolerate, either silently or with our hands tied, any representative of the independent judicial power who misuses his independence to violate the independence of the executive power, obstructing through arbitrary abuse of his duty the implementation of programs, projects or decisions in the public interest.

"For Judge Demir, we will also turn to the independent bodies of governance and control of the judiciary, just like for Prosecutor Gjeli and Judge Balliu, continuing to hope that these vital bodies for the good governance of the judiciary will come out of the comfort zone where they have become comfortable, while the Justice Reform primarily requires their dedication, professionalism and courage," Rama writes./ CNA
