These boots should never be missing from your wardrobe

Boot season used to be limited to the winter months, but not anymore. Fashionable types have cemented boots as a footwear staple all year round, from cowboy boots to knee highs with mini hems. Of course, this isn't news to British girls - our changeable weather (even in the height of summer) means we keep our boots on at all times.

More brands than ever featured boots in fresh and inspiring ways in their summer 2022 collections, and many of these themes have continued into the autumn/winter collections. So, as we begin to look forward to the season ahead, we thought it would be a good idea to review our favorite boot trends of 2022, as evidenced on the runway. Some we've already worn and some we can't wait to wear more when the cooler months arrive.

Style notes: Practical boots have been the order of the day for the past few seasons, but designers including Saint Laurent are embracing the super high stiletto this year. These probably won't be the most comfortable boots you'll ever own, but who cares when they look this great?
