"Most Germans" consider sending arms to Ukraine as involvement in the

Most Germans believe that sending German weapons to Ukraine means that their country is participating in the war.

In a survey conducted by the YouGov Institute, 51 percent of respondents agree with this assessment, while only 37 percent disagree, the dpa news agency reports.

The data is based on interviewing over 2,000 respondents over the age of 18.

International law experts agree that sending weapons to war does not make the supplier a party to the war – no matter what the weapons are.
