Sources for CNA confirmed today that Prime Minister Edi Rama appointed former Democratic MP Dashnor Sula to the position of Chief Inspector General. 

The Central Inspectorate has under its supervision all central and local inspectorates.

Dashnor Sula has been one of the most active names in Parliament against the government.

While recently Sula has also been a voice against the Democratic Party. After today's decision, it seems that Sula is no longer an opponent of the government, but has even made pacts with the Socialists. The latter rewarded Sula with a post.

After disagreements in the last parliamentary elections, those of 2025, Sula left the Democratic Party. Disagreements due to the lists of deputies, where Sula refused to be part of the open lists.

He once became part of the "Albania Becomes" Initiative coalition and then left there, due to disagreements with the coalition leaders, Shabani and Lapaj.

Dashnor Sula was part of the Parliament of Albania in the years 2005-2013 and 2021-2025.

Previously, Sula also held the position of lawyer at various prosecutors' offices and courts./CNA
