Together Movement MP Redi Muçi stopped today at the vote in the Assembly on the draft law for Albania on the Peace Board.
Invited to A2 CNN, Muçi emphasized that the debates between the Democrats and the Socialists were another theater for Albanians.
The MP said that while adding that the discourse should focus on more important issues, such as the US-EU situation, Greenland, and tariffs.
"It actually happened as a kind of debate, it would be too much to call it, because it was more of a fight about who is America's favorite. Unfortunately, Albanians saw that next theater, between two parties that have the same problem and the same interests about who should be more subservient to the global leader without actually analyzing the consequences it has for their country."
The entire discourse should focus on the hot topics of the day that are discussed even beyond the Albanian auspices. That is, it should be talked about the fact that this conflict between the US and the EU is something that has created a kind of stagnation regarding this so-called Euro-Atlantic alliance, right? Regarding the issue of Greenland, the issue of high tariffs and that a country like Albania which is adhering to integrate into the European Union.
"It should at least listen to the arguments of the most important countries of the European Union, such as France, Norway, Denmark and Slovenia, which rejected it, but also listen to the arguments of many other countries, that is, all other countries, which have not yet taken a position regarding accession to this so-called peace board, also because it calls into question, so to speak, the continuity of the United Nations organization, its legality, established in 1945, and this is where today's discourse, today's debate in the Assembly should be contained," said Muçi. /CNA
