"The government is not selling land"/ Rama to "Al Jazeera":

Prime Minister Edi Rama has spoken to foreign media regarding the Zvërnec project and the protests that have been taking place in the country for several days.

In an interview with Al Jazeera , Rama described the development as a major investment opportunity, dismissing claims that the government was selling off public land. He also described the 4 billion euro investment as a blessing for the country.

"There was never a question of whether this would continue or not. This is a blessing for the country. An investment of 4 billion euros in a country that has 27 billion euros of GDP speaks for itself. When it comes to the project that has created all this anger around the world, it is about private property. It is not about public land and the Albanian government is not selling the land. It is private property. It is an expression of interest based on an agreement between private parties in which the Albanian government has no connection," Rama said.

Even in the interview with the prestigious media outlet "Reuters", Rama stated that the investment in Zvërnec will be a beautiful project that will also contribute to Europe.

In harsh tones, Rama told the British media that he was not voted to be led by people who have a different idea of ??how to develop the country.

Meanwhile, we recall that for 9 consecutive days, protests have been taking place in the country against the government, with citizens demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. /CNA
