Integration process/ Rama: We will add parliamentary sessions, new laws to the

Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that the negotiation process with the European Union will bring an unprecedented workload to the Albanian Parliament.

In his speech at the meeting of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Rama stated that this process will require a new focus of the institution on new laws.

Rama left open the possibility of adding special sessions dedicated solely to European integration, emphasizing the need for high concentration and participation of MPs. /CNA

"I believe that we share the opinion that it was a necessary meeting and a necessary exchange of information. We will make this meeting monthly, with a content that will respond, on the one hand, to the requirements of the negotiation process and, on the other hand, to the current state of parliamentary and political life."

This year that is starting and next year will have a load like never before in the Albanian Parliament. The number of laws that will pass through the filter will be higher than ever, due to the negotiation process. We must be as qualitative as possible in this process.

This requires increased commitment, but also the number of sessions. Perhaps adding special sessions to the calendar just for integration could be considered. Concentration and a high number of participation are required," Rama said. /CNA
