"The main favorite for membership"/ Balla met with the rapporteur for Albania in the EP, Schieder

The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, met today in the Assembly with the European Parliament Rapporteur for Albania, Andreas Schieder.

As is known from the details of the meeting, Balla and Schieder discussed Albania's European integration process and the preparation of the annual report on the country of Albania, which, after approval in the Foreign Policy Committee (AFET), will be voted on in the plenary session of the European Parliament.

Schieder assessed in the recent debate in the European Parliament that Albania can be considered the "main favorite" among candidate countries for membership in the European Union.

The meeting took place within the framework of the ongoing institutional dialogue between Albanian authorities and European Union representatives for the further advancement of the integration process./ CNA
