The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, responded at the meeting of the Conference of Speakers regarding the debates on the meeting of the Mandates Council on the immunity of Minister Belinda Balluku.

Balla stated that if the DP Parliamentary Group has complaints regarding the meeting, it can appeal the decision-making according to the Assembly Rules of Procedure.

He argued that the decision to wait for the Constitutional Court is the right one because the Assembly is a party to the process. According to Balla, the DP is making "theater" and not exercising the right to appeal according to the regulation.

"If the DP Parliamentary Group has complaints regarding the meeting of the Mandates Council, it should appeal this decision-making according to the Regulation. The decision to wait for the Constitutional Court is the right decision, because the Assembly itself is a party to this constitutional impasse. The DP is putting on a show and not exercising its right to appeal according to the Regulation, but is putting on a ridiculous, pointless show," Balla said. /CNA
