The Democratic Party stated today that, contrary to what has been reported by the police, no police officers have presented themselves for first aid at hospitals with injuries from the opposition protest.

In its official stance, the DP denies the data, describing it as an attempt to color a mass protest with violence.

Full statement:

The Democratic Party considers the claims of drug police spokespeople that 12 police officers were injured to be fraudulent and unfounded.

According to our information collected operationally in all hospitals in the capital, no police officer has presented himself for first aid.

The attempt to color a massive protest against the drug regime with violence is nothing more than the fear of Rama and his servants that political developments in Albania have reached the 'last mile'.

The Democratic Party emphasizes that, not only are there no injured police officers, but there are dozens of injured protesters and dozens more arrested, often illegally by government patrons, people without uniforms and without police symbols.

Any violation of the law will be noted and any abuser will be held fully accountable.

The Democratic Party once again thanks all supporters and protesters, and assures the detainees and their families that they will receive every legal aid and support.

This is the beginning of the end for the drug regime and the drug police.

The fury demonstrated tonight with the use of poison gas and disproportionate violence is proof of this. /CNA
