In all the public statements of the opposition, in gatherings, conferences or participation in television studios, you mostly hear the expression: Let's topple the government; Let's overthrow Edi Rama...

First, what is meant by "overthrow of the government"?

In a democracy, a government is not overthrown, it is replaced through a vote. Here you can say that socialists have proven that they are not naturally replaced by votes, so the word overthrow, as an expression of a more violent action, is more appropriate to replace the word "election".

Second, what does overthrowing the government mean?

Regardless of whether it is achieved or not, theoretically it means that its place is immediately taken by the one who overthrows it.

Unë mendoj se socialistët janë duke konsumuar një mandat të tretë abuziv sa i takon, së paku, korrupsionit. Për pasojë kjo forcë politike meriton të zbresë në opozitë. Por shqiptarëve nuk u intereson thjeshtë largimi i një qeverie të korruptuar. Kjo mund të jetë më së shumti dëshira dhe objektivi i opozitës. Shqiptarëve u intereson një qeverisje më e mirë dhe një qeverisje më e mirë nuk nënkupton aforfe çdo qeverisje tjetër përveç socialistëve.

A kanë shqiptarët sot alternativë më të mirë se një qeveri që inauguron rrugët në çdo 5 kilometra dhe në çdo 5 kilometra shton nga 10 milion Euro fonde?

A kanë shqiptarët sot një alternativë më të mirë se një opozitë, që ditën e akuzon qeverinë për ato që bën dhe natën fle me “mullixhiun” e saj?

Fatkeqsisht jo!

Albanians need a New Alternative, which does not simply promise the overthrow of the government, or its replacement. But it promises a new political model, first, and then a new governing model and state formation.
