Two thefts solved in Kruja/ The perpetrator is arrested

Two thefts that occurred in the last two months in Kruja have been solved by the police. As a result, the perpetrator, a 43-year-old Egyptian resident of Nikël, has been identified and arrested. 

According to information, on September 20 of this year he had a large amount of money in a bar in Nikël, while on October 3 he had stolen work tools from a warehouse in the village of Qerekë.

Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing to uncover other thefts that the 43-year-old may have committed.

Police announcement:  

The 43-year-old is identified, arrested and placed in handcuffs.

The services of the Krujë Police Stations, in continuation of the work to uncover the perpetrators of the thefts committed, after administering the reports made by two citizens for the theft of a bar and a warehouse, organized the work with the aim of capturing the perpetrator and documenting the cases.

As a result of organized work and based on the review of video footage, the perpetrator of the two thefts, Egyptian citizen M. Sh., 43 years old, resident of Nikël, was identified, captured and arrested.

Specifically, it is suspected that this citizen:
• on 20.09.2025, he stole a sum of money from a bar in Nikël;
• on 03.10.2025, he stole work tools from a warehouse in the village of Qerekë.

Investigations are ongoing to uncover other thefts that the 43-year-old may have committed.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecution Office for further action, for the criminal offense of "Theft"./CNA
