Transported 19 illegal immigrants to Tirana/ 26-year-old arrested

A 26-year-old man was arrested by police forces after, in 2020, he collaborated in the illegal transportation of 19 migrants who intended to go to EU countries.

Citizen KM was arrested on "Atë Thanasi" street in the capital.

He was sentenced to 3 years and 4 months in prison for this criminal activity.

As a result of the immediate administration of information obtained operationally, regarding the location of a citizen declared wanted, sentenced to imprisonment, the services of Police Commissariat No. 6 finalized the "Location" operation.

As part of the operation, in collaboration with specialists from the Traffic Investigation Section, citizen KM, 26 years old, was arrested on "Atë Thanasi" street.

The Court of Appeals has sentenced this citizen to 3 years and 4 months in prison for the criminal offense of "Aid for illegal border crossing", after in 2020, in collaboration with 2 other citizens, he transported 19 immigrants to Tirana who intended to move illegally to EU countries.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action./ CNA
