Execution of 36-year-old in Gjorm village/ His cousin is wanted as suspected

Several people have been taken to the police in connection with the murder that shook Selenica this evening. The victim was 36-year-old DA, while the perpetrator is suspected to be his uncle's son, BA, who has been declared wanted by the police.

The police statement states that after committing the crime, citizen BA fled to the surrounding mountainous area, where he is suspected of hiding.

Police announcement:

Following the preliminary information provided earlier, the first investigative actions made it possible to identify the suspected perpetrator of the incident, citizen BA, who is suspected of having shot and killed his cousin, citizen DA, in the village of Gjorm.

After committing the crime, citizen BA fled to the surrounding mountainous area, where he is suspected of hiding.

The structures of the Vlora Local Police Directorate are continuing their intensive work to locate and capture the suspected perpetrator, while under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, investigative actions continue for the full documentation of the event.

The wanted man for murder is suspected of being involved in a murder that occurred in 2015, an event known as the "Çola massacre" .  Meanwhile, it is reported that one of those escorted to the police station is the headman of the village of Gjorm, where the incident occurred.

It was previously reported that the victim received 6 bullets in the chest and abdomen. He was a resident of Fier, but had gone to visit his uncle's son. According to information, the victim has no criminal record, while the causes of the murder remain a mystery. /CNA
