Vu?i? warns of "major changes" in the army / Most of the equipment

Serbian President Aleksandar Vu?i? declared that the Serbian Army is "stronger than ever" and added that "only a small number of people know" what has been purchased in recent years, as "everything has been done in secret."

In an interview with Prva television on June 20, he said that during a "big military parade" in September, the army will show off everything it possesses.

"We have kept it hidden, but these are big changes for the Serbian Army in the coming period. There are at most five people who know what we have brought. Our goal is to defend our country," Vu?i? said, without clarifying who Serbia should "defend" from.

He added that the military is "becoming terribly offensive."

Vu?i? said that Serbia has also kept hidden much of the equipment it has purchased and warned that "many will be surprised" when they see what the army possesses.

According to him, Pristina, Zagreb and Tirana "are creating a military alliance" and are constantly inviting Sofia to join them, which has forced Serbia "to arm itself."

Kosovo, Albania and Croatia signed a Declaration on Cooperation in the Field of Security and Defense on March 18. The declaration has been described as a trilateral document that strengthens cooperation and emphasizes the importance of a common approach to security challenges, hybrid threats and other risks that could undermine regional stability, while the signatories denied that they aim to create a military alliance.

Vu?i? stressed that Belgrade does not pose a threat to neighboring countries and that it "will not be the first to shoot an arrow", but that it "must be vigilant".

"We are surrounded by NATO countries - who can we threaten? Nobody. But we must be ready to defend our country," Vu?i? said./ Rel
