Shooting at US consulate in Toronto

Gunshots were fired at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto today. According to police in the Canadian capital, no one was injured in the shooting. Police also announced that they have no information about a possible suspect.

The streets around the American consulate have been blocked by police, while an investigation has been launched to determine the causes and circumstances of the incident.

According to BBC information, several buildings in Toronto have been attacked with gunfire since the start of the war in the Middle East on February 28.

Three Jewish synagogues in Toronto have been attacked with gunfire over the past week. A boxing gym in Toronto, owned by an Iranian-Canadian critic of the Iranian government, was also targeted by gunfire on Monday. 

Police have not identified or arrested any suspects and it is unclear whether the attacks are linked. /CNA
