Netanyahu calls on Iranian people: Cast out your tyrants and seize the moment

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has posted on X to the people of Iran, calling on them to overthrow the Ayatollah's regime and gain their freedom. Netanyahu writes that the Iranian people must act and Israel is creating the conditions.

"The Ayatollah is no more and I know you do not want him to be replaced by another tyrant. That is why you must act. We are creating the conditions for you to do so," the post says.

The Israeli prime minister adds that he respects the sovereignty of the Iranian people and wants them to take action as the US and Israel aim to overthrow those in power.

"In the coming days we will create the conditions for you to understand your destiny," he writes, adding later: "When the right time comes, and that time is fast approaching, we will pass the torch to you."/ CNA, translated by BBC
