US media have reported that President Donald Trump has approved plans to attack Iran, but has not made a final decision on whether to attack the country.
The US president has refrained from launching strikes if Iran agrees to abandon its nuclear program, a senior intelligence source told CBS. Trump is reportedly considering a US strike on Fordow, an underground uranium enrichment facility in Iran.
Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on Wednesday rejected Trump's demand for unconditional surrender, while the US president said his patience had run out.
On Wednesday, Trump said, "I might do it, I might not do it," when asked a question about U.S. involvement in attacks on Iran.
Khamenei warned, saying that any American military intervention would be costly and that the Iranian nation would not surrender.
Trump brushed off the warning, saying "good luck," but again refused to reveal his plans. "Nobody knows what I'm going to do," he said./ CNA
