Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, threatened today with "irreparable damage" if Washington proceeds with a military attack against the Middle Eastern country.
"Any American military intervention will undoubtedly face irreparable damage," Khamenei said.
He added that America's potential involvement in Iran will backfire 100% and that the damage they suffer will be far worse than anything Iran could face.
"If they enter militarily, they will face damage from which they cannot recover," the Iranian leader said.
Iran and Tehran have been exchanging missile fire since Israel launched an attack on Iran on Friday, saying it was primarily targeting Iran's nuclear program. The International Atomic Energy Agency said on Wednesday that two nuclear centrifuge production facilities in Iran were hit./CNA
