Israel warns residents in south Beirut to evacuate ahead of military operations

The Israel Defense Forces issued another evacuation order for residents in south Beirut, warning of imminent military operations in the Lebanese capital.

“The IDF will operate in the coming hours in the areas of Haret Hreik and Burj al-Barajneh, as well as inside the compound located south of the Damascus Highway,” Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee said on Wednesday. He called on residents in those areas to “leave immediately” and head east along the highway.

The strikes target the Iranian-backed Hezbollah group, the IDF said, adding that anyone near Hezbollah operatives, facilities or weapons "is risking their lives."
