Iran fires missiles towards Israel

Iran fired several missiles toward Israel in the early hours of Thursday, the Israeli military said. Initial reports said there were no casualties in the attack.

According to the Israeli military, three separate alarms were activated overnight within a period of about two hours, warning citizens of the danger from rockets.

Journalists from Agence France-Presse reported that several explosions were heard in Jerusalem, while emergency services reported no injuries.

Israeli authorities initially asked citizens to take shelter, but the army later announced that the situation had calmed down and people could leave the shelters.
