The leaders of Britain, France and Germany are urging Iran not to take any action that would further destabilize the region, following US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities overnight.
In a joint statement, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stressed that they have been consistently clear that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon and support Israel's security.
"We have consistently been clear that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon and can no longer pose a threat to regional security. We call on Iran to engage in negotiations leading to an agreement that addresses all concerns related to its nuclear program," the heads of government of the three countries said in a joint statement./CNA
