Attacks on energy infrastructure continue across the Persian Gulf

In the United Arab Emirates, air defense systems are facing a number of missiles and drones coming from Iran.

In Kuwait, six drones were intercepted and, in Bahrain, a woman was killed when a shell hit a residential building.

What has been seen in the last 24 hours is that these attacks are specifically targeting energy infrastructure.

In Bahrain, the Bapco oil field was attacked by drones. The company was forced to declare force majeure, as it cannot fulfill its contractual obligations.

In Saudi Arabia, the Shaybah oil field has been attacked.

This is raising serious questions about the security of energy coming from the Gulf./ CNA
