Bloomberg: Trump is considering a plan to seize Iran's uranium

The prestigious media outlet Bloomberg reports that US President Donald Trump is considering a plan to send special forces into Iranian territory to take control of the country's uranium.

This nuclear material has been enriched to a very high level and could be used to produce nuclear weapons if further processed.

According to diplomatic officials cited by the reports, the US is analyzing the possibility of a special military operation. Special forces could be sent to Iran to find and seize enriched uranium.

The operation could be carried out by American forces or in coordination with Israel.

International inspectors have not verified the location of the uranium for about nine months. Previous attacks on nuclear facilities have made it more difficult to track down the material.

Trump has stated that the US may attempt to locate and retrieve this material at some point in the future, although no such operation is currently planned.
