The leader of the "Mundësia" Party, Agron Shehaj, has reacted after the Constitutional Court's decision which overthrew Rama by accepting Veliaj's appeal.

Shehaj says through social media that the Constitutional Court is a tool of Edi Rama, while also dissecting Rama's message.

"The Constitutional Court is Edi Rama's tool! The message is: Being corrupt is not a reason to leave office. And this will also apply to Edi Rama tomorrow."

Only in Albania can it happen that the Constitutional Court tells us that a mayor, who is arrested and in prison for corruption, should continue to hold office.

But, apparently, this interests Edi Rama and, if Edi Rama wants the elections not to be held in Tirana, the Constitutional Court will rule in favor of Edi Rama. There is also another very important issue.

"Edi Rama needs to tell everyone that being accused of corruption and in prison on corruption charges, according to Edi Rama, is not a reason to resign and leave. This applies to Erjon Veliaj today, but it also applies to Balluku and may also apply to Edi Rama tomorrow, when Edi Rama himself is under investigation for corruption," Shehaj declared./ CNA
