Erion Veliaj lied to members of the Constitutional Court when he stated that he was kidnapped from his office and locked in a cell with a more severe imprisonment or confinement logic than that of a serial killer.

In fact, Veliaj is lying because instead of being handcuffed as he should be under the law, like any other citizen of this Republic, he walked out of his office and got into the vehicle where he was then escorted to the cell.

"I have waited 9 months for these 9 minutes. My battle to be heard before you comes after a long, frustrating saga of telling the truth, of being heard for what I did to be kidnapped from the office where the citizens elected me and locked in a cell with a logic of imprisonment or association more severe than that of a serial killer."

Today, I have more police officers in the Constitutional Court than I have lawyers.

I have experienced a long period, filled with violations of my fundamental rights as a citizen of this republic, but above all, a period of denigration and the suppression of the voice of a person elected three times in a row by the citizens of Tirana.

This is not just an attempt to denigrate me, this is contempt, a disdain for the vote, for the most precious thing democracy has.
