Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari, during the official ceremony for the assignment of the position as Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hitës, expressed his belief that he is the right person to lead the State Police.
"This day marks the beginning of our commitment to an organization serving citizens."
Regarding the winning candidate Skënder Hita, I am convinced that Hita is the right person to lead the State Police at an important moment for Albania and its citizens. Skënder Hita is a professional career officer, guided by integrity, I have collaborated with him for 9 years.
"We will continue from today onwards to coordinate our work together towards the country and its citizens. The country's integration into the EU makes this mission even more important given the current situation in which Albania is today," Lamallari said./ CNA
