New scheme for farmers/ Hall: Support for reducing costs and preparing for the

The Minister of Agriculture, Andis Salla, has introduced a new support scheme for farmers, emphasizing the importance of fairness and cooperation between the government and the agricultural sector.

According to him, the oil scheme aims to reduce production costs for farmers through direct payments. He explained that the auto-invoicing system is currently being applied, where each farmer will deposit 10% of the relevant amount in taxes.

The Minister announced that this scheme is conceived as comprehensive, aiming to include all farmers in the country. It has also been drafted taking into consideration European Union standards, within the framework of preparations for Albania's integration into the EU.

In his speech, Salla emphasized that the government is working to improve legislation and that farmers should be an active part of this cooperation process.

"The oil scheme is a concrete measure to reduce production costs and directly support farmers," he said, underlining that this initiative aims to increase the sustainability and development of the agricultural sector./ CNA
