Diaspora Summit in Tirana/ Rama's invitation to Albanians around the world

"One nation, one heart, one future."

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, announced the holding of the IV Diaspora Summit in Tirana, on April 13-14-15.

Through a post on the social network X, Hoxha wrote that "through roots we rise and united we strengthen," referring to the official slogan of this year's summit.

The Foreign Minister published the official invitation, addressed to compatriots across borders, an invitation signed by Prime Minister Edi Rama.

In the message sent by Rama through this invitation, it is written that "the April summit is the space where we will discuss how to turn this new stage of relations into a new energy, for an increased engine of Albania's development."

"Your knowledge of the societies where you live, your experience at every level of work and your connections are a great asset to our nation. I invite you to be part of the 4th Albanian Diaspora Summit to jointly design your role in the journey towards Albania 2030 in the EU and I await you with gratitude for everything you have done, and with confidence in everything you will continue to do," writes Prime Minister Rama to the Albanians of the diaspora.

According to Rama, Albanians in the diaspora are active builders of the future of our common homeland.

Dear compatriots,

In April, we will gather again for the 4th Albanian Diaspora Summit. This reunion is not just another box on the country's calendar, but a moment of conversation and reflection, as well as an expression of gratitude on our part, in a new chapter of the relationship between us, after a year that marked a historic turning point for our democracy.

The elections we left behind showed that Albania is no longer a country with narrow geographical borders, but a nation that breathes and decides wherever an Albanian heart beats. For the first time, your voice was made concrete through your direct vote. And in that vote, it was all of Albania outside of Albania: it was the strength of our workers who have built new lives with their sweat and have made the lives of others better. It was the courage of our small entrepreneurs who, from desperate refugees from their country, have become respected contributors to the countries that are now theirs. It was the talent of those who today lead on the new fronts of the new era of the world in which we live.

From those who serve with dignity in every corner of the world, at the wheel of a taxi on the streets of metropolises to the offices on the upper floors of services, in auditoriums where the most advanced knowledge is imparted, and on the platforms of Artificial Intelligence and the knowledge economy, you have proven that when the country calls, distance does not annihilate civic responsibility.

Your meaningful participation gave new legitimacy to our journey towards Albania 2030 in the European Union. You showed that whether you contribute with labor, modest entrepreneurship, lecture notes, or the most sophisticated computer codes, the desire to see Albania continue to move forward and finally become an equal among equals in the house of Europe is a force that unites us all.

You are no longer simply generous donors and careful observers of Albania, but also active builders of the future of our common homeland.

The April summit is precisely the space where we will discuss how to turn this new stage of relations into a new energy for an increased engine of Albania's development. Your knowledge of the societies in which you live, your experience at every level of work and your connections are a great asset to our nation.
