KLSH/Shehu report: Problems have been identified in the registration of assets

The Head of the Supreme State Audit Office, Arben Shehu, has reported to the Parliament on the activities of the institution he heads in 2024.

In his report, Shehu said that the SAI's impact on public finances has increased, with a 99.9% acceptance rate of recommendations.

Further, the Chairman of the SAI said that during financial audits, issues that have impacted financial stability have been identified.

Shehu also stated that problems have been identified in the registration of assets and the preparation of property documentation.

Shehu said that shortcomings have been identified in all phases of the budget management audit.

 

" The level of acceptability of the recommendations given has reached 99.9%, indicating an increased impact of the institution on public finances. During financial audits, issues that have affected financial stability have been identified.

Problems have been identified in the registration of assets and in the preparation of property documentation. In the presentation of unpaid liabilities, differences have been found between the reported figures and the real situation. In all stages of the audit of budget management, deficiencies in financial discipline have been identified. Audits have revealed deficiencies in the registration of audit orders. The structures responsible for technical supervision have not performed their duties ," said Shehu.
