The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a conversation with citizens on social networks, commented on the warning of the American embassy in Tirana regarding possible attacks from Iran. According to him, there is no room for panic, but increased caution and attention should be exercised.  

"This announcement cannot be without basis and special attention should be paid to gatherings and everywhere ," said Berisha.

He then spoke about preparations for the local elections to be held next year. He stated that the DP will do everything to field the best candidates.

"The process of analysis and elections within the party will soon be completed. Work is also underway for the local elections. They will be much earlier than the last elections and we will do everything for the best candidacies ," said the leader of the Democratic Party.

Among other things, he was asked by commentators about the opposition protests, where he said that they did not have the result they wanted, which according to him was the removal of Prime Minister Edi Ram, but added that they had an effect. He also warned that their peaceful uprising will continue.

"Regarding the result, I believe we should analyze it more calmly. You have heard how anti-Albanian lobbying officials have dared and expressed that corruption is part of the culture of Albanians. We proved to the world that Albanians are not a nation that has a culture of corruption. Those protests have had the greatest resonance. They have not had the maximum effect that we would like the overthrow, but they have had the effect of stigmatizing the regime. We do not come to power by force, we will continue the uprising until Edi Rama leaves ," Berisha said. /CNA
