Protest in front of the Ministry of Agriculture/ Livestock Farmers: We want subsidies, we are going bankrupt

Dairy farmers are holding a protest in front of the Ministry of Agriculture today. The farmers have requested subsidies, just like other countries in the region.

Meanwhile, a delegation of several farmers has entered the Ministry of Agriculture to discuss with the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj.

"We demand the establishment of a board to control dairy products. Nothing is produced in this country with 230 lek of oil. We want subsidies. Without domestic production there is no national security.  The Minister of Finance has come to the Ministry of Agriculture and has requested a meeting with us. A day wasted today means no farm tomorrow. Farmers are at a critical point, as long as they are here today ," the farmers said. /CNA
