Pastor Paulin Vilajeti said on the show "Opinion" that marriage is a gift and should be respected as such. While discussing the draft that deals with the punishment of persons who may have a cohabitation at the same time who are officially married to another person, he emphasized that the law on bigamy is necessary in Albania. 

"I don't believe that a law protects marriage. I believe that marriage is a gift from God and when people walk with God, they know what marriage should be like. The Bible says 'where there is no law, there is no transgression.' that it has become a problem in Albanian society by using the poverty of people, people who have money... I think that this law is necessary in Albania and I am very happy that this should be done. Some people should take the law to their door of the house, if they don't have it, they never know how to stop it. I believe there should be a law to prevent this kind of thing that we are seeing day by day. The law is not bad. It should be the state that should follow the law.
