The famous actor from Pogradec passes away at the age of 68

The well-known actor from Pogradec, Ilir Shkurti, closed his eyes forever this Sunday at the age of 68.

The sad news was confirmed by friends and relatives of the actor, who through posts made on social networks expressed their pain for his departure from this world.

The well-known artist, Shkurti, was one of the most beloved figures of the local scene but not only. Born on December 30, 1957 in Pogradec, Ilir Shkurti belongs to that golden generation of actors who kept the spirit of local theater and humor alive in challenging times.

His career took life and was consolidated near the Pogradec Estrada, where he carved his name, as a master of character roles.

Through brilliant performances, Shkurti managed to win the hearts of the audience not only with his acting technique, but also with the nature and warmth that he conveyed to those around him and others who listened to and watched him on the stage of the city's theater.

The actor from the beautiful lake city, Ilir Shkurti also participated in several Albanian cinematographic productions, among which we can mention the films "Rrethimi i vogël", "Binarët", "Ngwirat e vesë", "Shkëlqim i perëkëshëm" or "Kush vdes në pëkë".

His departure from life is a great loss for the community, but his artistic work will always remain alive in the hearts of all who knew and appreciated him for what he gave to the artistic life of Pogradec.
