Government meeting/ Demo: Regulation on the use of public spaces approved

Minister of State for Local Government, Ervin Demo, shared some of the decisions taken after the government meeting.

Demo stated that the meeting approved the regulation for the use of public spaces. He also stated that four new municipalities have designated priority areas regarding the "Mountain Package".

"We have approved the regulation on the use of public spaces. The regulation will bring innovation in terms of a unification of all practices at the national level. We will have clear rules regarding how public spaces can be used, municipalities are on the same page in terms of the regulatory system. Municipalities have been part of the adoption of this regulation. This will completely create a new platform in terms of the management of public spaces in the territory. We have had 4 new municipalities in terms of priority areas for the 'Mountain Package'" , he said.

The minister also spoke about the majority's variants for the new territorial division. Demo said that there is still no position from the SP Parliamentary Group, but only that different models have been analyzed.

"During the group meeting, different models were discussed but there is no position yet. We need to move forward with the process and it is normal that we are analyzing different models across the country that have been applied in different countries. There is no position but some of the main pillars on which this reform should be based have been discussed in principle," Demo said. /CNA
