The High Inspector of Justice asks the High Judicial Council to dismiss the judge of Vlora, Hektor Sinanaj, for conflict of interest.

Journalist Klodiana Lala reports that the disciplinary investigation shows that the magistrate has taken actions that constitute a regular failure to fulfill his duties.

"From the disciplinary investigation, it results that actions were taken by the magistrate that constitute a regular failure to fulfill the duty, in violation of the rules of incompatibility, in the conditions of conflict of interest as well as in the use of the status of the magistrate in order to create benefits for others, as well as in violation of the principle of guaranteeing the public's trust in justice" is stated in the report that Artur Metani submitted to the government of the judiciary.

From the investigation of the ILD, it appears that Sinanaj owns a building in front of the court, the premises of which he had leased to several lawyers, with whom he conducted court proceedings, and in some cases he assigned them mainly.

We recall that at the beginning of the year, the judge himself submitted a request for resignation shortly before facing the vetting.

Later, he sent another letter to the institutions, in which it was stated that he requested the revocation of the request for resignation in order to fully verify the figure by the Independent Qualification Commission./ CNA
